The Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited (GENCO) has ordered the suspension of medical facilities for artisans participating in an indefinite strike, including their dependents. Station and functional heads have been directed to forward medical reimbursement claims only for non-striking workers.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited has decided to stop all medical facilities to artisans, who are participating in the strike and to their dependents as well.
All the station heads and functional heads at headquarters have been directed to send medical credit cards and reimbursement bills of artisans, who did not participate in the strike.
The concerned station heads and functional heads have also been instructed to certify that the artisans, who were not participating in the strike before forwarding the medical credit card or medical reimbursement henceforth.
These orders were issued on Thursday after the Telangana Vidyuth Artisan Employees Joint Action Committee launched an indefinite strike from Wednesday.
The artisans are demanding employee conversion based on educational institutions. Implementation of the APSEB Service Rules to the artisans, Un-manned workers in TGNPDCL and TGSPDCL to be absorbed as artisans, implementation of PRC and piece rate workers should be given minimum wages as per GOMs 11 in the power utilities.
