Retired army man nabbed as mastermind in Siddipet robbery case; Nine associates arrested

Investigations revealed that retired army man Narendrula Srikanth, working as a security guard in Ramagundam, masterminded the crime. The gang tied up residents with charging cables and fled with gold, cash, and valuables.

Retired army man nabbed as mastermind in Siddipet robbery case; Nine associates arrested

Siddipet: Siddipet police cracked a theft case within 72 hours after the robbers looted a doctor’s home at Burugupalli area in Siddipet town. The police found a retired army man as the mastermind behind the case.

The gang of thieves led by retired army man Narendrula Srikanth (41), who was working as a security guard in IOC in Ramagundam, barged into the house on April 4 night and decamped with 86 grams of gold, Rs one lakh in cash, mobile phones and other valuables, threatening them with a knife.


The gang tied the residents with charging cables before leaving the house. Srikanth, who used to lead a lavish life, formed a gang to loot houses to meet his expenses.

Following a complaint, Siddipet rural police registered a case and nabbed the nine-member gang.

The accused were produced before the media on Thursday. They have been sent to remand. The police seized 43 grams of gold, 10 mobile phones, Rs 50,000 cash, one car and a bike from their possession.
