Hanamkonda: A pregnant woman and her two daughters were found dead in suspicious circumstances at Punnel village of Inavolu mandal in the district during late night hours on Wednesday.

The deceased, Farhath (26), her daughter Umaira (8) and Ayesha (6) were found dead in a swimming pool at a real estate venture in the village. Her husband Azaruddin took the bodies to MGM Hospital in Warangal claiming that they fell into the swimming pool and drowned.

The doctors at the hospital after checking the woman and her daughters declared them dead. Farhath’s father Shaik Ali suspected that his son-in-law Azaruddin killed his wife and daughters and was claiming that they died by suicide.

Farhath’s aunt, Mumtaz speaking to the media at MGM Hospital on Thursday also suspected Azaruddin’s role in the death of the woman and her daughters. She said that Azaruddin runs a cement bricks manufacturing unit while his father was into real estate business.

The swimming pool in which the woman and her daughters drowned was owned by Azaruddin’s family. He took his wife and children to the swimming pool on Wednesday night to spend some time there and later took their bodies to the hospital, she said.

When Farhath was pregnant in the past she was forced to undergo abortion twice as her husband did not want a girl child. At present a dispute was going on between them as Azaruddin was forcing his wife to undergo abortion again, possibly after a sex determination test, but she denied, Mumtaz alleged.

Based on the complaint of the deceased woman’s father, Ali, a case was registered and an investigation launched into the incident, said SI Pastam Srinivas. The deceased woman’s family and Azaruddin belong to Punnel, where police have been deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
