TT receives acclaim for its striking Rewind page illustration ‘A Genocidal Book?’ by Chief Artist Guru Prasad, at the 8th International Newspaper Design Competition

Telangana Today has earned international recognition, with its Rewind page winning a Bronze award in the Design & Illustration category at the 8th International Newspaper Design Competition organised by NewspaperDesign.org.
The impactful illustration, created by Principal Visual Artist/Chief Artist Guru Prasad, earned the ‘Best of Show – Bronze’ award for ‘A Genocidal Book?’. Published on June 29, 2025, the piece revisits Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ in its hundredth anniversary year, offering a critical perspective on its historical impact while also expressing horror at the Israeli state’s current actions.
The entries were evaluated by an international jury led by Chiqui Esteban, Diego Areso, Luke Knox, and Jan Schwochow.
