
Mauro Vieira made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Seyyed Abass Araghchi, on Thursday.
During their conversation, the two ministers discussed recent developments in West Asia and the consequences of the US and Israeli regimes’ military aggression against Iran.
While condemning the attacks on Iran, Vieira offered condolences for the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and a group of Iranian officials and citizens, and expressed sympathy with the government and people of Iran.
He also expressed his deep concern about the consequences of lawlessness and violations of international law, emphasizing the need to respect the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries and the fundamental principles of international law.
Araghchi, for his part, explained the dimensions of the aggressions and criminal actions of the US and Israeli regimes, noting that this war of choice was imposed on Iran in the midst of the diplomatic negotiations.
