Osmania University women’s conference 2026 concludes on a grand note

Hyderabad: The three-day Osmania University’s International Women’s Conference (OUIWC) 2026, themed “Give to Gain: Women Power for Sustainability”, concluded on a grand note here on Thursday.

The event brought together luminaries from across the world to deliberate on empowerment, equity and excellence.


From deep dives into academic research and technological innovation to insightful discussions on leadership and social change, the conference served as a catalyst for progress. The excellence awards were presented to 34 women from different walks of life.

The final day focused on “Skills, Outreach, and Policy Dialogues,” featuring a lineup of experts. CA Aravinda G explained the complexities of personal and startup finances, emphasising that economic independence is the bedrock of empowerment.

Giving a psychological insight, OU former registrar Prof C Beena explored the psychological dimensions of empowerment, highlighting the importance of mental resilience.

Dr Kiranmai Pendyala discussed the intersection of IT and financial literacy in creating inclusive academic environments for women, and Dr Souliihaa Rasool addressed the vital need for work-life balance and gender sensitivity in the modern workforce.

OU Vice Chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram lauded the event as a monumental success that reflects the university’s commitment to gender parity and global excellence.

National Human Rights Commission member Vijaya Bharathi Sayani delivered a message: “True empowerment is not just a seat at the table, but the power to change the table itself”.
