Toddler dies after being run over by car driven by father in Nirmal

A sixteen-month-old girl died after being run over by a car driven by her father in Nirmal district. The toddler unknowingly came behind the vehicle while he was reversing, leading to the tragic incident that left the family in shock

Nirmal: In a tragic incident, a sixteen-month-old baby girl was crushed to death after coming under the wheels of a car while her father was reversing the vehicle at Borigaon village in Tamsi mandal on Monday.

According to police, the toddler, Balaravo Shriyanshi, died on the spot after sustaining severe head injuries when she was run over by the car driven by her father, Avadhuth, a native of the village. Shriyanshi had followed her father as he was attempting to park the car under a tree. Unaware of her presence, Avadhuth reversed the vehicle, leading to the mishap.

The child was immediately shifted to a hospital in Bhainsa town, where doctors declared that she had been brought dead.

Avadhuth had shifted to Narkatpalli in Nalgonda district a year ago for a job. He had returned to Borigaon to attend a relative’s wedding. The parents were left in shock following the tragedy.
