Reacting to the recent US-Israeli attack on museums and historical monuments of the country, Kazem Gharibabadi stated that attacking museums and historical monuments means attacking a part of Iran’s civilizational identity and also the cultural properties supported by the international law.
The damage incurred to dozens of historical and cultural monuments during the US-Israeli aggression against Iran shows that extent of this aggression has also been extended to the cultural heritage, he said, adding that this grave situation is a clear manifestation of the systematic violation of the international law in various dimensions by the terrorist US and criminal Zionist regimes.
Protection of cultural heritage must be prioritized and the international community must respond to these gross violations of human rights and international law, Gharibabadi emphasized.
