Hyderabad: The EAGLE Force arrested a Nigerian who had allegedly been staying illegally in India for nearly eight years and deported him after completing legal formalities on Saturday.
The suspect, Victory Apuamagan alias Kenny (34) of Delta State in Nigeria, had entered India through New Delhi in November 2018 using a Ghana passport and a medical attendant visa that expired in January 2019. However, he continued to stay in the country without extending his visa.
Police said he initially lived in Ludhiana, working as a gym trainer and later shifted to Hyderabad in September 2025, staying at a PG hostel in Kondapur while doing minor roles in films.
Acting on a tip-off, EAGLE Force officials traced and caught him. After obtaining an exit permit from FRRO Hyderabad, he was deported back to his country.
