Sangareddy: In a shocking incident, the suicide of an elderly woman came to light three days after her death at Budhera in Munipally mandal on Saturday.
The deceased was Chakali Venkatamma (73), who hanged herself from a ceiling fan on Thursday. Neighbours reportedly last saw her on Wednesday.
As a foul smell began emanating from the house on Saturday, locals alerted the police. The police forcibly opened the door and found her dead inside the house.
Venkatamma had been living alone as her two sons were staying elsewhere. Police registered a case and the probe is on.
