Cyberabad police rescue 15 victims in anti-human trafficking raids

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued 15 victims and arrested nine suspects in three cases related to human trafficking during raids conducted over a week.

During the operations, police also caught three sex workers and two transgender persons apart from booking a case against a spa centre for operating illegally.


Meanwhile, She Teams carried out 124 decoy operations across public places and caught 43 persons for harassing women. Petty cases were registered in 36 instances, while the remaining individuals were counselled.

Police also received 14 complaints from women through various channels. In addition, family counselling centres helped reconcile 46 couples involved in marital disputes.
