During the phone call, the two top diplomats exchanged their views on bilateral ties and latest developments of war in the region after the US-Israeli attack against Iran.
Araghchi pointed to the full readiness of the Armed Forces of Iran to the legitimate self-defense and giving a firm response to the aggressions of the United States and Israeli regime, emphasizing that Iran’s retaliatory attacks against US bases and assets in the region is taken after within the framework of the legitimate right of self-defense.
Based on good neighborliness policy, the Islamic Republic of Iran calls for the continued friendly and brotherly relations with the regional countries and common regional cooperation to ensure stability and security of the region without foreign intervention, Iran’s top diplomat highlighted.
The Egyptian foreign minister, for his part, expressed his major concern regarding the increase of tension in the region.
Egypt will make its utmost effort to reduce tension through the political and diplomatic channels, Abdelatty added.
