Shamsolddin Hosseini, the representative of the people of Tonekabon, Abbasabad and Ramsar in the Iranain Parliament, told Mehr correspondent that, “The reserves of basic goods are in good condition and there is no problem in supplying important items such as wheat, flour and bread.”
He continued to say, “In the initial days after the recent developments, a natural increase in demand for some foodstuff and also fuel was seen in some areas, which even led to the formation of queues of people in some cases, but with timely management and measures taken, this situation was brought under control.”
Referring to the fuel supply situation in the country, Hosseini also stated, “There are sufficient reserves in the gasoline sector, and refineries and factories are operating with an appropriate capacity.”
