Repair of main pipeline from Singapur to Khanapur completed, water supply restored

The HMWS&SB completed repair works of a 1200 mm main water pipeline that burst near Bulkpur village early Monday. Water is being gradually released into the line as supply is restored to several areas including Gandipet, Kokapet, Narsingi and Manikonda

Repair of main pipeline from Singapur to Khanapur completed, water supply restored

Hyderabad: The repair works related to a 1200 mm diameter main water pipeline from Singapur township to Khanapur, which reportedly burst in the early hours of Monday at Bulkpur village, were completed at 7.30 pm.

In an official statement, the HMWS&SB said that water is being gradually released into the repaired pipeline to ensure it reaches Khanapur steadily. Initially, the Water Board officials said that the repair of the damaged pipeline would be completed by 10 pm, but they managed to complete the repairs ahead of schedule and are in the process of restoring the supply.


Areas including Gandipet, Kokapet, Narsingi, Manchirevula, Puppalaguda, Khanapur, Manikonda and some areas under the Sheikhpet Reservoir command, as well as areas under the Bhojagutta Reservoir command, faced disruption in water supply due to the major pipeline burst.
