Ramagundam cybercrime police hold awareness programme for college students

Peddapalli: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Ramagundam cybercrime police conducted an awareness programme for students of Singareni Medical College and degree and PG colleges in Godavarikhani on various cybercrimes.

Apart from students, cyber warriors from every police station under the Ramagundam Commissionerate limits also participated in the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Cybercrime Police Station Inspector J Krishnamurthy advised people not to lose money by falling prey to online games, fraudulent trading investments, loan apps, digital arrest scams, multi-level marketing schemes, cryptocurrency frauds, FedEx courier frauds, OTP frauds and commerce portal scams.


Advising the public not to invest money in online applications promising huge profits with little effort, he also urged them not to trust messages and phone calls in the name of matrimonial proposals.

Cybercrime Police Station DSP Venkata Ranga Reddy, Inspector Krishnamurthy, Commissionerate Inspector Nagapuri Srinivas and staff members participated in the awareness programme.
