Iran warns against continued attacks on energy infrastructure

The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Second Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, has urged Islamic countries to promptly warn the United States and Israel against further inhumane actions, including attacks on fuel and energy infrastructure, warning that failure to do so could trigger similar responses in the region.

Speaking on Sunday, Zolfaghari said that the US and Israel have caused widespread civilian casualties since the start of their aggression against Iran, including the deaths of innocent children, women, and men. He said their recent attacks have gone beyond targeting civilians, extending to fuel, energy, and public service facilities.

The general added that, despite possessing full intelligence, offensive capabilities, and knowledge of regional fuel and energy infrastructure, Iran’s Armed Forces have so far refrained from retaliating.

He concluded by calling on Islamic governments to act swiftly to prevent further “cowardly and inhumane” actions by the US and Israel, cautioning that otherwise similar operations could occur in the region.

Zolfaghari also made a pointed reference to global oil prices, suggesting that continued provocations could have economic repercussions.
