Speaking in a televised interview late on Friday, General Shekarchi stated that many of the US military bases in the region have completely been destroyed and these bases would take at least five years to be reconstructed.
Turning to the threat of ships belonging to the US and Israeli regime in the region, he noted that the ships owned by the terrorist US government and criminal Israeli regime would be targeted by the armed forces of the country if these ships wanted to pass the Strait of Hormuz.
All ships are allowed to be passed from the Strait of Hormuz except the ships belonging to the US and Zionist regime, the spokesman emphasized.
Emphasizing the necessity of cooperation of the regional countries in confronting the external threats, General Shekarchi pointed out that US and Zionist regime initiated the war against Iran in a way that these two terrorist regimes have brought about insecurity for countries of the region.
He called on the regional countries to join their hand together in order to expel all the US bases from the region.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the strategies of the US in the West Asia, underlining that the US government is seeking war in the region with its dangerous strategy.
The existence of the US government in West Asian means creation of insecurity for all nations and countries of the region, he continued.
He then lashed out at the warmongering policies of the US and Israel in the region, emphasizing that the armed forces of the country are fully prepared to give a crushing response to the terrorist US government and criminal Israeli regime.
Referring to the attacks of the Iranian armed forces against US bases in the region, General Shekarchi stated that the armed forces have targeted 14 US bases in the region since the outbreak of war between Iran and US-Israel on Feb. 28.
