Hyderabad: A local court on Friday sentenced a man to three years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually harassing a minor girl in a case reported at Shahinayathgunj in 2023.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on him.
The convict, Mohd Ayub of Bahadurpura, took the 10-year-old girl to a secluded spot and made sexual advances towards her. The frightened child raised an alarm, escaped and informed her family.
Based on the complaint, the Shahinayathgunj police booked a case and arrested Ayub.
