Four injured in helium balloon explosion

Four persons were seriously injured after a large helium gas balloon arranged for a Holi event reportedly drifted into Brahma Kumaris’ Shanti Sarovar premises in Gachibowli and exploded. Police have booked organiser Rahul for alleged negligence and started an investigation

Hyderabad: Four persons suffered serious injuries after a large helium gas balloon allegedly exploded at the premises of Brahma Kumaris’ Shanti Sarovar in Gachibowli on Friday.

According to information available, the balloon had been arranged by an organiser named Rahul for a Holi event at a nearby location. However, it reportedly drifted towards the Shanti Sarovar premises and suddenly exploded, injuring four persons present at the site.

The injured were immediately shifted to a private hospital for treatment. The health condition of one of them is said to be critical.

The Gachibowli police booked a case against the organiser, Rahul, for alleged negligence and are investigating.
