Kothagudem/Warangal: The festival of colours Holi was celebrated in a vibrant manner in Kothagudem and Warangal on Wednesday.
A joyous Holi celebration was organised by Sulakshya Seva Samithi NGO at Sri Vyasa Avasam in Hanamkonda using eco-friendly colours to ensure that the festivities were both safe and environmentally conscious.
Samithi founder and president Santhosh Manduva said that for the past 15 years they have been celebrating the festival with the students at Vyasa Avasam. Sharing the festival joy with children makes it truly special and priceless, he said.
Samithi members Sai Kiran Vangala and Praneeth Kaparthi described the experience as unforgettable while the students thanked Sulakshya Seva Samithi for organising the event.
In Kothagudem, Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju joined the police officials and personnel at the district police headquarters to celebrate Holi. They danced to popular movie songs while applying colours to each other.
In Warangal, Holi celebrations were held on Tuesday and Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh celebrated the festival with officers, staff, women and children in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
