Medak: A young bride died by suicide by hanging at her in-laws’ residence just eight days after her marriage at Chinna Chinthakunta village of Narsapur mandal on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Swathi (20), daughter of Vijaya and Manikyam, residents of Adnapur in Narsapur mandal. According to police, the woman married Venkatesh Chary on February 25 in the presence of relatives and elders.
On Wednesday, when Venkatesh Chary and his family members stepped out of their house, Swathi hanged herself from the ceiling. When Chary returned home, he found his wife hanging. The incident left both the families in a state of shock.
SI Ranjith Reddy shifted the body to a government hospital in Narsapur. A case was registered and probe is on.
