Mancherial hosts day-long CPD organized by TGMC, HRDA, IMA

Mancherial: A day-long Continuing Professional Development (CPD)-2026 programme was jointly conducted by the Telangana State Medical Council (TGMC), the Indian Medical Association and the Health Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) at a function hall here on Sunday. TGMC chairman K Mahesh was the chief guest.

Expert speakers created awareness on the latest medical knowledge and skills among doctors from various disciplines. TGMC members, District Medical and Health Officer Anitha and the superintendent of the Government General Hospital Mancherial discussed ways to curb quackery, unethical medical practices and professional misconduct.


Dr Mahesh warned of stern action against quackery and underlined the need to protect ethical values and the rights of patients in the medical field. Organisers said the event marked the introduction of an online system of points in CPDs in Telangana for the first time. They advised doctors to attend such programmes to update their skills.

TGMC vice-chairman Kiran Kumar, IMA Mancherial chapter president Ravi Prasad and others were present.
