Man gets life term in Mallepally double murder case

Hyderabad: A local court on Friday sentenced a 56-year-old man to life imprisonment in a decade-old double murder case that was reported in Mallepally in 2015.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on him.


In June 2015, the convicted person, Shaik Hussain, had allegedly harassed Sultana Begum and set her and her husband, Kurmaiah, ablaze. The couple suffered serious burns and died.

The Humayun Nagar police booked a case, and Shaik Hussain was arrested and jailed.
