Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at Mangala Gowri Shopping Mall on Road No.36 in Jubilee Hills on Thursday afternoon. No casualties have been reported so far in the incident.
Fire tenders from nearby fire stations with the assistance of the Disaster Response Force and local police launched a coordinated operation to put out the fire.
Four persons who were trapped in the building were rescued by fire personnel.
Heavy traffic jams were reported in the area following the fire incident and traffic diversions were imposed on the stretch to facilitate the firefighting operations.
Senior officials of the police and the fire department have reached the spot to supervise the operation.
