Hyderabad: The Osmania University police arrested a housemaid on Wednesday for allegedly committing theft at the house of her employer and recovered property valued at Rs 3.88 lakh from her.
Allam Tejasvi (43), a resident of Badangpet, worked at the house of a doctor at Habsiguda and between October last year and February 2026, committed theft of gold ornaments from the cupboards in the house.
The theft came to light recently after the doctor noticed the ornaments missing and approached the police. The police on suspicion took Tejasvi into custody. On questioning, the woman admitted to stealing the ornaments.
