Siddipet: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) women leaders of Siddipet met Police Commissioner Rashmi Permal and Additional Collector Abdul Hameed, demanding strict action against National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Siddipet town president Sadulla Sai Pratap, who was accused of attempting to rape a woman at Kalakunta Colony.

The women leaders, led by Municipal Chairperson Kadavergu Manjula, met the Commissioner in her chambers on Monday and urged her to take the accused into custody without any delay. Manjula alleged that the accused behaved in an inhuman manner under the influence of ganja.

The BRS leaders also met the victim at the government hospital in Siddipet and spoke to her. Comforting the victim, the BRS leaders assured her of support from the party. Speaking on the occasion, Manjula accused the police of delaying action against Sai Pratap as he was a ruling party leader.

She further said that they were shocked to see such an incident in a district headed by a woman Collector and a woman Police Commissioner. The women leaders also urged the government to extend all support to the victim.
