Bhupalpally: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught three court staff members while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 at Bhupalpally district court on Friday.
According to an official release, the main accused, Palakurthi Sai Charan, working as steno grade-one at the district principal and sessions court, demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 to hand over a certified judgment copy in AS No. 03/2023 to the complainant. He received the bribe amount through the accused Kommu Sunitha and Punnam Rajitha, working as office subordinates at the court, who received the money from the complainant.
The tainted money was recovered, the trio was arrested and would be produced before the special judge for Special Police Establishment (SPE) and ACB cases in Warangal, said the release.
