Hyderabad: A fire incident triggered panic in Ameerpet on Friday afternoon after flames erupted at a commercial complex housing various coaching institutes in the Maitrivanam area.

No casualties or major injuries were reported. A short circuit in the main switch board is suspected to have caused fire.


Thick smoke billowing from the building alerted local residents, who immediately informed the police and fire department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control within a short time.

As a precaution, students from the coaching centre and nearby institutes were quickly evacuated from the building. The police have are investigating to determine the exact cause of the incident and assess the extent of the damage.
