Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Open, India’s premier amateur golf championship, conceived by the TGolf Foundation and hosted at the prestigious Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club from February 19 to 21, kicked off with a grand crystal trophy launch at the 19th Hole on Wednesday.
The trophy is engraved with Hyderabad’s iconic monuments like the Buddha statue and Charminar.
The event drew over 300 golfers from across India, marking a significant milestone in nurturing amateur golf talent nationwide. Dr NRN Reddy, President & CEO of TGolf Foundation, unveiled a custom-made glass trophy, symbolising excellence in the sport. In his address, Dr Reddy emphasised, “At TGolf Foundation, we are proud to conceptualise, nurture, hone, and execute golf tournaments to encourage all formats of golf in Hyderabad and beyond. The Hyderabad Open is one such avenue to inspire amateur golf talent across India to compete, show their mettle, and excel in their sport.”
The ceremony was graced by representatives from key sponsors, including Zaggle, Mindspace Business Parks (REIT), Client Associates, Earthful, Greenpark, Godrej, Karat, GolfTripz, SkinBae, Novotel, DrewKnot, Voila F9, Firstcut, Continental Hospitals, Golforb, D5 Sports, Playroot Sports, Sports Diary, and Pirates of Marketing, who joined in celebrating this landmark event.
