Hyderabad: A series of bomb threat emails targeting courts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh triggered panic and heightened security on Wednesday, with police launching intensive searches at multiple locations only to confirm no explosives were found.

As per information available, authorities at the CBI court in Nampally received an email warning of an explosive device inside the premises. The message prompted immediate evacuation of judges, staff, lawyers and litigants from the court building.

Bomb disposal and dog squads were pressed into service to comb the complex thoroughly. Abid Road police officials said the search was carried out as a precaution, and no suspicious material had been found. It turned out to be a hoax.

Similar threatening emails were also sent to the district courts in Rajamahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh and Karimnagar. Local police in both cities tightened security around the court premises and conducted systematic inspections to rule out any danger.
