Mancherial: The BRSV district president Badikela Shravan said that the Congress illegally registered a case against the BRS district president Balka Suman and arrested him. He called for a day-long bandh of educational institutions across the district on Thursday.
In a statement, Shravan condemned the arrest of Suman and cases booked against him and six other BRS leaders. He alleged that the Congress was booking cases against Suman as he was instrumental in the success of the BRS and jolted to the Congress in Kyathanpalli municipality represented by labor minister Dr G Vivek. He said that the Congress was unable to digest the mandate of electors.
The BRS district chief further said that Vivek was disrespecting democracy by preventing the BRS-CPI alliance from forming the governing council of the 22-member Kyathanapalli with a majority of 14 wards by creating problems, and with the help of officials and police. He urged the educational institutions to extend their support to the BRSV in observing the closure of schools and colleges.
