Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha orders suspension of absentee doctors at Jogipet government hospital after surprise inspection, while checking lab tests, medicines, and facility standards

Sangareddy: Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha, who made a surprise visit to the government hospital in Jogipet, the headquarters of his constituency, found that several doctors were absent from duties on Monday evening.
Sangareddy Collector P Pravinya, and Health Department officials, who found several doctors absent from duties in the past, served notices on them. However, they failed to change their behaviour.
After coming to know about this, the Minister made another surprise visit and found the doctors not on duty. Speaking over the phone with Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, Damodara Rajanarasimha directed him to suspend all those who were absent from duties.
The Health Minister also inquired about the number of tests that were being conducted in the lab. He also enquired about the medicines availability, and shortage of other facilities. The minister interacted with the staff, and patients.
