Boggula Srinivas, the author of the 2014 book ‘Pawan Kalyan Hatao – Politics Bachao’, died in a tragic road accident in Khammam when his car plunged into the Palair reservoir. He had earlier faced death threats following the release of his controversial book.

Khammam: The writer of ‘Pawan Kalyan Hatao- Politics Bachao’ book, Boggula Srinivas (49) of Andhra Pradesh, died in a road accident in Khammam.
According to locals, the car in which Srinivas was travelling on the Khammam-Suryapet old road suddenly lost control at Palair reservoir in Kusumanchi mandal in the district on Saturday and plunged straight into the reservoir after hitting the reservoir protection wall.
It is said that Srinivas, who was sitting in the back seat of the car at the time of the accident, could not get out of the car and drowned. The car driver escaped and fled from the spot on the Suryapet route, raising many suspicions.
Local fishermen who saw the incident informed the police, who then retrieved the vehicle and the body. Police noticed injuries on the head of the victim. The identity of Srinivas was ascertained on Sunday and the local police registered a case based on a complaint from his family members.
Srinivas became popular after publishing the ‘Pawan Kalyan Hatao-Politics Bachao‘ in 2014 as the book created a sensation in the Telugu States. He received death threats at the time of the book’s release. He was a native of Allur village of Nandikotkur mandal of Nandyal district.
