Shaheedi Divas marked with devotion at Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi

Sikhs in Hyderabad and Secunderabad observed Shaheedi Divas marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Devotees gathered at Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi for prayers, Shabad Kirtans, and Katha, followed by the traditional Guru Ka Langar.

Shaheedi Divas marked with devotion at Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi

Hyderabad: As part of the ongoing year-long observance of the 350th Martyrdom of the ninth Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji, the Sikhs in Hyderabad and Secunderabad observed ‘Shaheedi Divas’ with solemnity and devotion on Sunday.

A large number of Sikh devotees from various parts of the State participated in the mass congregation held at Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi, Secunderabad, by offering prayers to the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The event was organised under aegis of Prabandhak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi, Secunderabad.


Prabhandak Committee of Gurudwara Sahib Sitafalmandi, Chairmen, Harpal Singh and Kanchan Singh, President, Pratap Singh, General Secretary, Ranjeet Singh, said the congregation was marked by the recitations of Shabad Keertans and Kathas.

Bhai Binder Singh Tantisaaz of Dam Dama Sahib, Sabo ki Talwandi, Gyani Harnek Singhji and other Ragi Jathas who were specially invited from various parts of country captivated the devotees with their renditions of Shabad Kirtans that stressed on imbibing higher values of life and communal harmony. After the culmination of the congregation, the traditional Guru-Ka-Langar was served to all.
