GHMC split into three corporations; Jayesh Ranjan appointed Special Officer

With the GHMC council term ending, the State government has reorganised the civic body into three corporations GHMC, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri. MA&UD Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan was appointed Special Officer, while Commissioners were also named.

GHMC split into three corporations; Jayesh Ranjan appointed Special Officer

Hyderabad: With the term of the existing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) council term concluding, the State government on Wednesday issued orders reorganizing the civic body into three corporations and appointing MA&UD Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan as the Special Officer.

Jayesh Ranjan will be the Special Officer for all the three reorganized corporations of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.


Meanwhile, in separate orders, the State government also named the Commissioners for the three corporations.

Accordingly, RV Karnan would continue in the post of the Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, while GHMC Additional Commissioner, G. Srijana has been posted as Commissioner, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.

Another GHMC Additional Commissioner, T.Vinay Krishna Reddy has been posted as the Commissioner, Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.

Following the orders, Jayesh Ranjan on Wednesday morning visited the GHMC head quarters and assumed the charge as Special Officer for the three Municipal Corporations

Similarly, all the three Commissioners, RV Karnan, Srijana and Vinay Krishna Reddy also assumed charge as Commissioners.
