Sangareddy: Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar on Wednesday demanded that DGP B Shivadhar Reddy initiate stern action against Congress leader T Jagga Reddy for making abusive remarks against police officials who were discharging their duties during the municipal elections.

He expressed concern that Jagga Reddy may create violence during the counting of votes on February 13 to disrupt the process.

The BRS also demanded police welfare associations and IPS officers associations, which had issued statements against Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, to respond with similar intensity to Jagga Reddy’s acts as well. Citing examples of the police binding over BRS leaders and workers when there were meetings, the MLA demanded that the police bind over Jagga Reddy on counting day.
