A sub-inspector from Madhapur police station in Cyberabad was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau after being caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.

Hyderabad: A sub-inspector working at the Madhapur police station in Cyberabad was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 50,000 on Tuesday.
The sub-inspector, Gandra Vinay, had demanded the amount from a person for issuing a notice in a case and for not arresting him in future in that particular case.
On a complaint, the ACB caught the sub-inspector when he accepted the bribe amount of Rs 50,000 in the police station.
A case has been registered against the police official at the ACB office. The official was arrested and produced before the ACB Court in the city.
