Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man died by suicide after jumping from the 16th floor of a residential tower in the Tolichowki police station limits on Sunday.

According to the police, the victim identified as N Praveen, a resident of Attapur had been suffering from prolonged health issues for the past three years and was also experiencing mental distress over the same.

On Sunday, Praveen allegedly went to Aditya Empress Towers near the Shaikpet Nala and jumped from the 16th floor, resulting in his death on the spot.

Police officials said that Praveen had earlier worked at the Passport Office located adjacent to the same building about two years ago. They believe this familiarity with the area may have led him to the location.
