Hyderabad: Hyderabad secured the vital first-innings lead against Assam on the second day of the four-day Col CK Nayudu Trophy cricket tournament at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here on Saturday.
In reply to Assam’s 246, Hyderabad scored 293 in the first innings. In the second essay, Assam finished the day at 40/1.

Evergreen wins trophy
Evergreen Cricket Club registered a 113-run win against EMCC in the A-Division two-day league championship final here on Saturday.
Prakash Chand Jain announced prize money for the winning team while appreciating the spirited display by the runners-up.

Warangal recorded a four-run win against Mahabubnagar in the HCA Senior Women’s Inter-District T20 cricket tournament final here.
