Hyderabad: Citadel Godavari Legends retained the AP Super Cup football tournament with a 3-0 win against Coromandel FC in the final at RDT Stadium, Anantapur.
The teams were locked goalless at the end of full-time and Citadel emerged winner in the tie-breaker.
The goalkeeper was the hero for the winners, saving three penalties and being named ‘player of the match’.
Syed Alamdar Raa and Anand Reddy were the chief coach and assistant coach respectively of the winners, which is owned by India wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat and Rajesh Ravuri, and co-owned by K Prudhvi of Citadel and Shahzeb Hussain of Hyderabad.
