Medchal police arrests tenant for murder of painter in Gowdavelli

Medchal police arrested a 50-year-old shepherd for allegedly murdering his landlord, a painter, at Gowdavelli village. The accused reportedly killed the victim with an axe to evade repayment of borrowed money. Investigation is ongoing.

Hyderabad: The Medchal Police on Friday have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with the murder of a painter at Gowdavelli village reported here on Wednesday.

The suspect has been identified as M Lingam, a shepherd and a tenant of the victim.
The victim, G Laxma Reddy (42), was found dead at his residence on Wednesday night with severe head injuries. Police investigation revealed that Lingam had borrowed some money from Laxma Reddy and allegedly planned the murder to evade repayment. He attacked Laxma Reddy with an axe, killing him on the spot.


Case is under investigation.
