Keshav Chopra of USA shocked sixth-seeded Aziz Ouakaa of Tunisia 6-3, 6-3.

Hyderabad: Third-seeded Karan Singh of India defeated Jeffrey Von Der Schulenburg of Switzerland 6-4, 6-4 in the singles quarterfinal of the Hyderabad Open ITF men’s tennis tournament at Lake View Tennis Academy here on Friday.

In another quarterfinal, Keshav Chopra of USA shocked sixth-seeded Aziz Ouakaa of Tunisia 6-3, 6-3.

Singles (Quarterfinals): Karan Singh (IND)(3) bt Jeffrey Von Der Schulenburg (SUI) 6-4, 6-4; Max Houkes (NED) bt Thanapet Chanta (THA) 6-4, 6-3; Timofei Derepasko bt Manish Sureshkumar (IND) 6-3, 6-3; Keshav Chopra (USA) bt Aziz Ouakaa (TUN) 6-3, 6-3.

Doubles (Semifinals): Jeffrey Von Der Schulenburg (SUI) & Vanshelboim Eric (UKR) bt Vishnu Vardhan (IND) & Ganta Karthik Reddy (IND) 7-5, 7-6; Grigoriy Lomakin (KAZ) & Ishaque Eqbal (IND)(2) bt Timofei Derepasko/Mitsuki Leong (MAS) 7-6(5), 6-3.
