Aashish and Sricharan Tej win Brilliant Trophy chess titles in Hyderabad
All the medallists in the 235th Brilliant Trophy open chess tournament in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Aashish Reddy and Sricharan Tej of Care Model School won the Open category and the juniors titles respectively in the 235th Brilliant Trophy chess tournament at Brilliant Grammar School (Dilsukhnagar) here on Sunday.

Sricharan Tej scored six points from six rounds to emerge winner, while Sri Samanvith and Advik Sahasya finished second and third with five points each.


In the Open category, Aashish scored 5.5 points out of six rounds, while Shaik Mohd Irfan and Rishi Pallagani secured second and third places with five points each.

N Raman, retired Assistant Regional Manager, The Hindu, gave away the prizes.
