Mahabubnagar: Mahbubnagar town turned into a sea of pink on Monday as thousands of BRS activists took out a massive bike rally with over 6,000 two-wheelers, giving a grand welcome to party working president KT Rama Rao. Amid chants of “KCR Zindabad” and “KTR Zindabad”, they took out the rally, which stretched for around 11 km.
Rama Rao was first received in Shadnagar, where jubilant cadres surrounded his convoy. He greeted supporters before moving ahead in a spirited procession to the MBC Grounds, where he felicitated BRS-backed Sarpanches, Deputy Sarpanches and ward members who won in the recent Panchayat elections despite what he termed “Congress suppression”.
In Jadcherla too, the reception was overwhelming. Rama Rao and former Minister C Laxma Reddy were welcomed at every junction as cadres showered petals, held party flags and lined the Hyderabad–Bengaluru highway in large numbers. At Peddaipally crossroads in Balanagar mandal, the BRS working president unfurled the party flag and thanked workers for their support.
“It felt like the 2028 elections were already won and KCR had become Chief Minister again,” he said, responding to the overwhelming welcome.
