66 persons are not enough for Urdu language

by syed jaffer Hussain,
A language can not be attributed to any religion , cast or creed. Unfortunately Urdu language has been associated with Muslim community. This concept has to be teared down and Urdu to be promoted purely as Indian language. It has a glorious past , presently spoken and written in large parts of India and other countries.
Government of Telangana declared Urdu ad state’s second language because it has been nurtured and flourished in Deccan since centuries. Sri. K . Chandrasekar Rao, Hon’ble Chief Minister of  Telangana realised that the Urdu language is written and spoken in many parts of Telangana and announced it as state’s second language. In the recent days we have seen the reality , as far as promotion of Urdu is concerned , is entirely different from the government announcements. Many schemes are announced which get good publicity from the news papers but practically they yield nothing.
We have files and records in the offices of Chief Minister , state ministers, Dist. Collectors, speaker , chairmen and MDs of many corporations , revenue and land records ; police , education and other departments. Government announced just 66 vacancies to be filled to overcome the problem of translating transactions from Urdu to Telugu and English. Even to announce these 66 posts government made many amendments and since last three four months giving the impression that remarkable changes will take place to promote Urdu in the state.
A large workforce is required to promote Urdu , forget promotion even to set right the things mere 66 persons are not enough. Appointment of these 66 officers is done through Urdu Academy, instead if they are recruited through Telangana Public Service Commission efficient and talented persons will be selected by competative exams.
We request the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana to pass orders to recruit atleasf 2000 to 2500 such officers which will be placed properly to solve the problem. What ever has been done by the government for promotion of Urdu  we appreciate but recruiting 66 persons is not the promotion of Urdu but creation of employment. Do not consider this action as upliftment of Muslim community or promotion of Urdu it creates only employment among the youth . We request the Chief Minister to increase vacancies from 66 to eradicate unemployment.
