By syed jaffer Hussain,
False rumours always create panic among the   peace loving people . More particularly when the people with vested interest play with religious sentiments and spread rumours to suit them or their ideology it will have disasterous effects on society and country. Face book , social media and whats app etc are being used as tools to create such panic among the people.
How the Muslim /Budhist violence erupted in Sri Lanka where many innocent people lost their lives. It was a handy work of Face Book where rumors fuel thirst for revenge. Citizens have to be careful, do not believe every message you receive , do not respond to it and even do not citculate to spread it. The electronic media is totally misused to disturb the society for thier gains.
In Hyderabad a false rumor is circulated by social media that teenage boys/girls are kidnapped by gangs reasons best known to them. Some time they may be killed , kept hostage or motivated to be a bad element for the society.
On investigation it is revealed by the police authorities that these are false rumors and no one should trust them . Police is very much vigilant and ensure safety of all the citizens. These rumours mongers will be dealt with iron hand. Our MLAs Sri. Akberuddin Qwaisi and Sri. Ahmed Pasha Qadri asked the police to curb such rumors.
This may be politically or financially motivated issue but innocent people will be victimised. In Chandrayanguta police limit the movement of some persons was seen as suspecious and a mob has beaten the people injuring them seriously. They are in the Osmania Hospital for treatment. This kind of rumours have sparked many riots in different parts of India. Lynching of innocents on baseless grounds and creating fear among the people have become a political tool but this will have a negetive impact on the society.
Dividing people on religion, region , caste and linguistic basis is not a good sign for a healthy democracy. State wise migration of people, migration of rural labour to urban areas, unemployment among the youth , pathetic condition of agricultural and industrial workers , patronising of goons by the people with vested interest, political sheltering and increasing cost of living encourage criminalisation. Every failure of the government has multifaced consequences which have to be addressed effectively.
During the holy month of Ramazan when Muslims of all ages are  busy in fasting and prayers day/ night such false rumours will certainly hamper the sprit. We request the Director General of Police , Commissioner of Police, Sri. Asaduddin Owaisi MP and all city MLAs to ensure peace in Hyderabad and have a tight vigil on such false rumours.
