Punjab Varsity men and women win team titles in University Washu

Chandigarh, Mar 16 (UNI) Hosts Punjab University, Chandigarh made a clean sweep by their men and women claimed the teams titles in Sanda as well as Taolu on the final day of the All India Inter University Washu (M&W) Championship at the PU Gymnasium here on Saturday.
In the Sanda team championship, the Panjab University men logged 44 points and their women team collected 19 points to emerge champions.
PU men earned 61 points their women team collected 67.5 points to annex team titles, respectively, in the Taolu team championship.
Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak (18 points) and Chaudhary Charan Singh University of Meerut (10 points) men finished runners-up and third in Sanda team competitions.

Sanda (men): 1 Panjab University, Chandigarh 44 points, 2 Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak 18 points, 3 CCSU University-Meerut 10 points.
Sanda (women): 1 Panjab University, Chandigarh 19 points, 2 Punjabi University, Patiala 13 points, 3 Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak 11 points.
Taolu (men): 1 Panjab University, Chandigarh 61 points, 2 Punjabi University, Patiala 30 points, 3 Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur 8 points.
Taolu (Women): 1 Panjab University 67.5 points, 2 Rani Durgawati University Jabalpur 30.5 points, 3 Ranchi University 17.5 points.
