Purnea, Mar 23 (UNI) Congress president Rahul Gandhi today accused Prime Minister Narendra
Modi of being ‘chowkidar’ of select group of his favourite corporate houses and protecting their
interest while hard earned money of poor and honest people were being openly looted under regime
of the present dispensation.
Mr Gandhi, while addressing a public meeting organised here, said Mr Modi always claimed himself to be chowkidar of the country but in practice, he was looting the money of common man to enrich the coffer of the big corporate houses of the country. Mr Modi put whopping Rs 30,000 Crores into coffer of his corporate friend Anil Ambani from the money illegally accrued in Rafale defence deal, he added.
“Demonetisation was launched by Narendra Modi government in the name of phasing out black money from circulation but those having black money were not seen in queue before banks to exchange their money while poor was forced to wait for hours for several days”, Congress president said adding that big players easily managed to turn white their black money and poor were left in lurch. Even women were forced to cough their saved money which she used to spend in the interest of their family during crisis, he remarked.
